Writer's Disclaimer

To be upfront & clear......

-Contract: Every writer must sign a contract with the company Emily Hunter Productions after you send in your submission and the editing process has begun. The contract is a standard author/ publisher contract. The only major difference is there is no monetary compensation for your writing as this is a non-profit venture (see below) and I ask that you help promote the book once in bookstores.

- Any editing or changes to your chapter, the author will be notified and asked for input before it goes to print. The editing process may take up to 3-4 revisions with a team of editors. However, due to the tight timeline that has been placed on us by the publisher, we will need every writer's cooperation in frequent communication and prompt editing responses over the next couple months. Delays in responding to our edits may result in omitting a writer's work from the project entirely. If a writer cannot however make the editing schedule given, please contact Emily Hunter immediately (nextecowarriors@gmail.com) as we may be able to accommodate you.

- The Next Eco-Warriors is a none commercial venture and the book is a non-profit project for Emily Hunter Productions. Therefore, submissions by writers need to be given voluntarily; It is not possible to provide monetary means to acquire each submission or pictures to attach to the submission (except in special cases). However, if published, royalties received will be divided between all the authors or donated to an environmental group/ cause. Book advances will be used to compensate the editor, Emily Hunter, for her time and expenses on said book project (however, she will not be profiteering - in fact, barely making even); promote and produce the book itself; pay for assistant editors and a literary agent; as well as, extend the book's cause into a possible website (other than this one) and a documentary film or other mediums.

- Not all submissions will be picked, by simply sending in your submission does not guarantee your work a place in the finished book. There are only 20 spots for chapters in said Book and over 40-50 submissions expected to be sent in at the end. Emily Hunter Productions and a third party publisher and/ or literary agent has the right to reject submissions based on quality, meeting the Writer's Guidelines and necessity of their story in the book (i.e. redundancy with other chapters). Each writer/ group has been requested by Emily Hunter Productions to write for the book because they offer an inspiring and unique story. They appeared to be prospective writers that would be a great fit for this type of book. Not that they were guaranteed placement in the finished book. If they are not chosen, their is still potential later on for their story to be shared with a book series, a TV-documentary series or website. Therefore, in most cases, your work will not be put to waste.

- Those that are approved, there are still not guaranteed for publication. Despite being accepted by the editor (Emily Hunter) in her editing process, the publisher has the right to edit the book further and may replace some submissions with others. Therefore, there is no guarantee until the book has been edited by the publisher that a submission will be printed. Just as there is no gurantees for us, as the publisher could reject the entire work if it is not what they expected.
